That’s a general tenet of all religions rooted in Judaism. OT—-“No one is righteous, no, not one.”—and later in NT Romans—-“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” The inadequacy and even brokenness of man is what necessitates a Messiah in the first place. |
