Also seen this and doing "rejection tests" -- someone with too much freetime on their hands or who has ADHD. Other people would label this behavior as weird

In my experience poor people are way friendlier than rich people and more likely to strike up a conversation. It is in fact the well-off who have the privilege of not getting along with their fellow humans—they can just pay them to do stuff instead of trading favors and building community.
