The T480 was last non-Apple cargo cult, repairable design. The T490 and onward aren't good. The problem though of old hardware is lack of CPU features needed by some operating systems and the presence of hardware vulnerabilities, and the obsolete ports they contain like FireWire, slow USB, and PCMCIA. |
