We moved overseas (military) and our son wasn't going to be able to keep up with his state-side peers so we homeschooled him through Oak Meadows, with my mom, a recently retired math prof, handling his math education. Oak Meadows was solid. An actual teacher reviewed work and tests with him. This was in a remote outpost many timezones from the US, before the pandemic. 10/10 would do it again. But we also shopped really hard, like, for years. My general experience with private schools is similar to yours: drama. So much drama. |
