I have something similar going on but I take it a lot farther. My file hierarchy is for everything, I mean all of my files. Notes, documents, photos, videos, ISOs, ROMs, project files... I don't use a cryptic numbering scheme though, I just use hierarchical filenames. Some top level hierarchies include: - con. (concepts) - cook. (cookbook) - film. - fin. (finance) - game. - grp. (groups, orgs, movements, etc.) - home. (my house) - inv. (inventory) - lang. (languages) - lit. (literature) - lore. (other people's fictional universes) - meta. - ppl. (people) - prod. (products) - proj. (projects) - school. - self. (me) - soc. (social) - std. (standards) - sys. (systems) - veh. (vehicles) |
