Think about aging population. As to privacy, same problem exists with taking phone calls in public yet we somehow manage just fine.

And public pay phones used privacy shrouds... I think they managed to understand the implications long ago.

I see this as another war on privacy by the population of extroverted over-sharers that inhabit social media.
