This appears to be a GIP and GLP-1 agonist. Recently I read there might be some severe side effects with this class of med in diabetic and non-diabetic patients:

But its still pretty exciting.

I've lost 60+lbs with Mounjaro and never experienced any of the side effects listed.

I lost cravings for alcohol, sugars.

I was tired once jumping from 2.5->5, but we also have four kids, so..

These are my most recent blood work numbers. My A1C was 4.7

I'm at 55 lbs lost since July 1. No side effects at all.

Lost 35 (I didn't start too high so this was all I needed), and actually side effects almost entirely positive. Stopped all smoking, better quality sleep, less immune system issues.
AIUI, filtered through my doctor: the gastroparesis occurs when you stop eating. You stop eating because you're no longer hungry.

Remember to eat, and you don't get gastroparesis.

You don't have to eat anything particularly "hearty" / filling, though. Popcorn would do. Or cucumber. Just a bit of mass to keep things going.
Liraglutide has been approved since 2010.

It is a GLP-1 agonist as well and is considered a well-tolerated, long-term weight loss agent.
