I think these rules are more or less the same in Scandinavia. The Norwegian rules are well explained at Arbeidstilsynet [0]. Basically 5 weeks per year, 6 weeks if you are 60 years old or older. Of course, people may have more vacation per contract, but in general, you can't have less. Most Norwegians take about 4 weeks of vacation during July.
