Landlords being pressured to not use the algorithm however they want, say setting their price $100/month below the algorithm, under threat of losing access to the algorithm may be what ultimately loses this trial for them. If that is the case, we may not get to a ruling that resolves the legality of the more general practice of many people using the same pricing algorithm.
