I understand that being a Microsoft employee there's always am incentive to promote Microsoft initiatives, but I feel that it's disingenuous to describe this sort of initiative in C++ circles as "TypeScript for C++" when C++ originated from "C with classes", which is the same transpiling-based approach but without Microsoft marketing attached to it. Also, I think that promoting a new programming language as "TypeScript for C++" is a marketing move to try to force their way into a market share in spite of the language's merits. |
