Going into Target and stuffing a pack of socks down your pants isn't technically illegal either. Walking out with it becomes stealing though, so while having hotdogs down your pants isn't specifically illegal, it doesn't have to be.

The CFAA is written broadly enough that adblockers could already be considered illegal under it.

Agreed, I would not be surprised if adblocking were treated like piracy in the near future: "You wouldn't download a car without watching the ads first" ;)
