Book recommendation on company structures (flat, hierarchical etc.)
3 points by lilalomoslama 965 days ago
The company I work for is expanding, and there is a growing need for structure (right now it is quite flat). As I have only worked within this company, I lack knowledge of alternative company structures. Can you recommend books or articles on this topic?

If you're looking to understand how some companies are ditching the old school pyramid for a more modern and flat structure, check out 'Reinventing Organizations' by Frederic Laloux.

It's packed with real-life examples of companies doing things differently and practical tips on how you can too.

And if you’re on the hunt for more books that tackle change in the workplace, check out this list: https://www.readupnext.com/list/best-change-management-books

It's a great resource for finding similar reads!

Thanks a lot! 'Reinventing Organizations' seems to be a good read!
Growth and structure is something to consider, but typically establishing and maintaining culture across a growing company is the challenge.

I'd like to recommend adding culture development and curation to your list.

"Team topologies" by Matthew Skelton might be a good read
I agree. A simple and understandable way for teams to work together with just enough structure.
