The US gives domestic tech giants a very wide berth on a lot of privacy and platform owner market power issues while Europe, which can't produce a tech giant of its own aside from ASML, is on a huge crusade about privacy and open access to tech platforms. We're only discovering we have principles about this stuff now that foreign-based Tiktok is succeeding here. |
