All my old laptops since 2003 still have functional CPUs and RAM. I'm not overly concerned about the CPU/RAM situation, especially have seen the advantages to a shared CPU/GPU/RAM Arm architecture. Would I prefer upgradeable RAM, sure, but it's not the weak link. Know what's actually failed me over the years? Storage. Hard drives and SSDs. |
