DietPi released a new version 8.23

DietPi is a lightweight Debian based Linux distribution for SBCs and server systems, with the option to install desktop environments, too. It ships as minimal image but allows to install complete and ready-to-use software stacks with a set of console based shell dialogs and scripts.

The project released the new version DietPi v8.23 on October 21st, 2023.

The highlights of this version are:

    Raspberry Pi: Raspberry Pi repository migrated to Bookworm
    ROCK4 & 5B: New option to update the bootloader in dietpi-config. This enables USB and NVMe boot on these devices
    VisionFive 2 (RISC-V): Kernel upgrade to Linux 6.1 allows booting from  NVMe SSDs, USB, eMMC, SD cards and DHCP/TFTP. Added FireFox as software option for RISC-V. Added the DietPi-Dashboard for RISC-V (experimental state)
    ADS-B Feeder:  Improved uninstall procedure
    Fixes and updates for Raspberry Pi, Sparky SBC, DietPi-DDNS, DietPi-Config, motionEye, frp, Home Assistant
