very much this. in "poor countries" people can have a lifestyle that matches their income, and they can survive on that. yes, many struggle, and they all would like to have a better life, but most can at least find an affordable place to live and don't go hungry. the problem in "rich countries" is that affordable places to live are missing. so being poor without government support to pay for a home causes you to be homeless. |
