Yup, Firefox for me as well. Chromium-based browsers seem to sanitize the title.

I'm frankly a bit surprised that at least Linux and MacOS allow control characters in window titles and wonder if there is any reason to do so.

Imagine someone pwning your OS via an HTML tag.

My Firefox+dwm combo works. The 0x1b on my status bar is shown as a Treble clef. Maybe it's a font thing?
