Windows has a tool called "Snipping Tool" which also went by the name "Clipping Tool" and "Snip *& Sketch". Of course we have the Print Screen key. [1] Mac had a "Grab" app which dates back to NeXTSTEP. [2] So it is conceivable that someone would refer to it as a "screengrab". Personally I've never heard anyone say this. I don't think either application used the term "screengrab". Microsoft's own documentation [3] uses the term "screenshot" regardless of type (i.e. full window, rectangular area, etc.). Apple as well.
