What do you mean? Are the informants euthanized after they’re no longer useful?
I think OP meant it in the way that there's no such thing as a former KGB agent, or a former mafia enforcer; if you try to leave, they can reach you.
No, once you're an informant you're always an informant. The relationship never ceases, whether you like it or not.
