One of the main problems with the elderly is that although they often have considerable money, they are tight with it.

I've tried to persuade my mom who has fallen to have an iPhone and Apple watch that she can easily afford but she will stick with just her second hand Samsung Galaxy from 5 years ago.

Also they're often in denial of aging and spending in support of it is acceptance.

Most good design costs money unless it's mass produced.
