A tale as old as time. Self host your content if you can, or have backups of your content. The pain of self-hosting the majority of one's data is less and less as the years tick by. As I get older, this becomes more apparent. Imagine the state of things in 30 years. What services will still be around? Hopefully most, but that's not a guarantee.

Yeah..putting together a homelab server. But also have to give outside access to families and if that wasn't bad enough, have to find adequate apps to serve then maintain then need to teach everyone how to on some exotic app. Someone should make a turkey homelab server with all the goodies ready to go. IE file server, doc manager, social media akin to FB or G+, CRM, video/photo manager/streamer etc. Currently running like 40 containers and ever growing.
