I think fluidity of technology as an industry gives people the opportunity to treat it more as a default, in contrast to other industries. For example, a person trained in finance or biology will struggle more-so to find opportunities within other fields, while tech encompasses many industries. Just talking with some folks, there’s a strong desire to ‘optimize’ seemingly archaic industries to be up to speed on current technologies. I personally see tech as a tool to do just that, advance and upgrade where we can, in an industry or on a project that I find meaningful. |
