Lidl sells 'Batts' pickle, which is a little less sweet than Branston is, and has perhaps slightly more vinegar. I much prefer it to the 'real' Branston pickle. Tesco own-brand was the worst last time I tried it*. * their recipe is probably: "1. Dump bag of sugar in bottle of vinegar. Veg? Haha, we don't use expensive vegetables here, every little counts you know!" |
