When the governments see that their investments or subsidies could not break the monopoly of TSMC, I wonder if they’ll change their geopolitical strategy. Instead of protecting Taiwan for silicon supply stability, they’ll encourage an all out war between Taiwan and China. By destroying the head of the monopoly, the fabs in their countries can compete against the market again. |
