On the other hand, unless your eyesight is _phenomenal_, on a 10 inch screen it may be challenging to see details in higher resolution, so I'm OK with that.

I tried it and it works quite nicely, but even next to a 14inch laptop it looks really tiny. Good for having a notepad on the side while you are fullscreen into something I guess (or sharing one screen with an audience while being able to check your mail, or take some notes, on the side).

As long as display scaling works, running at the native resolution is probably marginally better. (haven't tried this myself)

I'd be more interested in matching the aspect ratio, since ipads aren't 16:9.
