I once had the opportunity to help a local archeological dig in Sweden - a very time team feeling -, and we found one of these figures. The metal detectorist had missed it but we got it in the sieve. And the elating feeling was identical to finding a bead or comb piece or just a bit of pot. It was a great feeling each and every time we found anything! :) Would warmly recommend joining local archeological and historical societies wherever you are. |
