For me it helps a lot to get some one-on-one to get me rolling. Consider findig a makerspace nearby and see if they have some courses or people willing to help. There's one in my town and they have an active slack and weekly "maker evenings" where it's easy to get help. Alternatively find some online communities where you can get some help. As an example, this[1] YouTube channel has some great videos on layout and more with KiCad, as well as a very nice Discord community with newbies and professionals.
