NT version numbers were weird, and major releases didn5 increment major version numbers, but if you the first major release (NT 3.1) as the next major windows version after Windows 3.x, (so as 4) you would get to 9 about Windows 2000 (this counts 3.51 as a major release.) Of course, that would leave out the consumer line starting with Win 95. |
