Switch mode power supplies such as this one emit RF. There are varying degrees of shielding that can help, but ham radio stations that are looking for good reception forbid using any such chargers (e.g., iPhone charger, Macbook chargers, etc). Far better to use a linear power supply, which has a transformer and as a result is far heavier. |
