There needs to be a new law:

If the question asks “does anyone [else]”, the answer is always “yes”.

Perhaps you need to find a new pasture? Perhaps this one turned muddy. Two years is often “long enough” at any one position.

I think is is why modern companies put their stock option payouts at 4 years. After a year or so, you’re proficient and useful to the company, and they want to get their money’s worth.
