I list remote only on my LinkedIn profile, it's what my current company offers. Recruiters and HR people only reach out to me to inquire about if I would accept Hybrid roles. I get 2/3 a week with the same spiel.

My last HR interview went south when after they pitched a lower salary, hybrid work and finally ended with "Are you sure you like your job now?" I told them I wasn't interested and that ended that.

The one remote job interview I did in the last year wasn't a good fit. I declined the offer.

That's so frustrating. I'm in the Bay Area, but strongly prefer remote jobs. First, I've enjoying having 90 minutes a day not spent commuting added back to my life. Second, I'd been with a remote-only company for several years, and it went swimmingly once we all adjusted to it. Finally, there's a big world out there. My wife's brought up checking out other places, and if I'm already remote, I can just up and move to wherever without disrupting my job one bit.

And yet, I still get recruiters asking if I'd like to hear about their on-site job in Tampa. No. No, I wouldn't.

I'm not a naive remote-work lover, but clearly the ability to go from bed to office in 12 seconds is a hard benefit. More, better sleep, less stress, also less diseases, 50% of the time I went on-site I came back with a flu, a cold or worse. My health if mediocre these days so staying at home is yet another bonus.
