Hi,
I have already read https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=18815800 and some other immigration related posts here. As the title suggests, I am a green card holder in the US and my co-founder is a Canadian national. I have several questions and I appreciate if you can answer any of them: * What are the options to bring my co-founder to the US? I've heard of the E2 visa but don't fully understand how it relates to startup stages and founding amount. * What if the immigration petition gets denined? Does it affect YC application? * How can the work be done? I mean will it be OK if we just work on the project without any contract besides the articles of incorporation? * How can we pay ourselves (to follow minimum wage requirements)? Is there any legal hurdle? * Does it affect fund raising even if we incorporate in the US? Thank you so much for your time. |
