I actually have a full queen size cardboard bed that looks similar to this, and they're amazing! I bought it as a temporary bed while I waited for my furniture to arrive during a cross-world move, and never gave it up. It's quite comfortable, and really easy to move, and includes under the bed drawers. I've been using it for 5 years now and its still holding up (with a matress, which these don't have, but still). My apartment is a different experience than the refugee camp for sure, but for all the people who are dispariging these vs. steel cots for their lack of durability, they're surprisingly tough. It'll easily survive a couple glass of water spilled on it without being destroyed, it won't handle a flood or a wet floor, but logistically a cardboard bed is amazing and works surprisingly well. |
