Hey HN! I'm building Shaan to help simplify all things immigration. My own struggles as an immigrant in the US inspired its creation. I lost two of my three H1b lottery attempts, one because I worked at a small company that didn't have an established process for international employees and another because I got laid off a month before the deadline. I got incredibly lucky on my third attempt. The process was very stressful and I wish I had someone in my corner to guide me through it. Every immigrant's journey, no matter where in the world, is unique and often challenging. My hope is for Shaan to be by your side, guiding and simplifying each step.

Right now, it can answer any question you have about immigration using GPT-4. It can help with small things, like how to fill out a form, and bigger issues, like what your visa options are if you lose your job. In the future, I also want it to do some of the tedious stuff like keeping track of your documents, pre-filling forms and even looking for appointments and notifying you when something is available.
