- wide HW support. 10 years ago it was not guaranteed that suspend will work on a random machine, 15 years ago we were struggling with ndiswrapper to get wifi working. - professional domain-specific software now available, both free (such as KiCad) and commercial (such as DaVinci Resolve) and supported by vendors on Linux. |
