They always seem easy at first. They're never easy. Anyone can toss up a visualization, in fact you don't even need to know how to code, just load up a CSV in Google Sheets and drag it into Google Data Studio. The hard part is knowing what information to surface, and how to drive the user towards those insights in an intuitive way. You need a strong team that intersects product, data science and UX. Engineering is the least important aspect of it. |
