Fair question. I think it’s similar to the art of war by Sun Tzu, very abstract principles that one can still use for strategic guidance on conflict situations. The main value of Sun Tzu’s book was the realization that deception is one of the top strategies, but it only has limited applicability. As for the Tao Te Ching, many interesting ideas can be extracted on how to deal with contemporary challenges. |
