This has been my experience contributing to F/OSS, as well. Upstream maintainers loooooove stealing your code. They are exceptionally unpleasant to work with, overwhelmingly so. "Sorry, I like my version better" is almost verbatim the same ripoff-kissoff I've gotten before in one specific circumstance in the past. |
