| I spent 3 years building a video editor in the browser. Managing growth and the technical complexities got the best of me. So I threw in the towel. Then ChatGPT came along, and many people were building chatbot wrappers that went viral. This intrigued me, I'm good at building products, customer support has been an interesting space for me. In order to be different than the wrapper tools, I decided adding real time chat, a CRM, and email outbound tools would jam pack value into the tool. My differentiating factor is that EchoFox isn't just a wrapper, it's an all in one marketing tool to help users get more customers from their leads. I love tools like FullStory, Intercom, Hubspot, Customer.io, etc but they are all so damn expensive. I wanted to build something cheaper than them that added more all around value to marketers, SaaS founders, and agencies. So over the summer I went to work and cloned many features from Intercom, allowing users to train their chatbot on their site data. Let me know your thoughts, am I making the right play here, or wasting time? The tool is echofox.io btw if you want to check it out, I built it as a broke solo founder. |
