Prefacing with that I love this piece and have always found it fascinating. This has always been my main criticism. As art, it's lovely - horrifying, but fascinating. As a critique of humanity, it doesn't sit well with me to assert anything in a general way based on the behavior of the audience. I don't see humanity so bleakly as to assume this would happen in every case with any group of people. |
