Can relate to both you and the OP. More specifically, I too have tested out (and retested) almost every project management tool and often, every few months or so, tugged at mixing it all up, thinking I'll (re)discover some magical tool that'll solve all my problems. And if I'm honest, when taking a step back, it boils down to (as you mentioned): anxiety associated with lack of progress or organization. Appreciate the advice you would've imparted on yourself 10 years ago. What stands out the most is "Don't plan for more than a week." When I read this, I noticed a thought come up: how does this person ensure that their short term (i.e. week) maps to long term goals/values etc? |
