5-10 teams and 1-10m$ can be managed with a 15 minute daily meeting and an email that is sent immediately after the meeting.

You need less, but still need to organize your thoughts. Use a text file and work!

One simple hack is confine yourself to a single text file; the need to understand what is going on in the text file after a few weeks will make the text file correct meaning productive. (Or push you to a failure state. The general critique of literate programming is now you have to be good at two things.)
