Didn't we just have this on here? There was a Twitter thread where Philips tried to make excuses and sell this as a benefit. Embarrassing. Yeah, two days ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37594377 Meanwhile, remember Logitech's Harmony remotes? They made you set up an online account too. Apologists mocked those of us who called that out, and then a couple months later Logitech shitcanned the entire product line and orphaned them all. I didn't quite LOL, but I enjoyed their come-uppance. |
