I guess I will loose this on the ground of not being a native speaker. But to me, the little word "other" makes a difference. At least if I translate to my native language, the phrase "andere EU-Staaten" clearly implies that UK is also a EU country. Removing "andere" fixes the sentence to actually tell the truth. And yes, this distinction is important. The british people have democratically decided to leave the EU. |
