We want to stick with SQL - having done a few extensions to make it easier to work with time series data such as SAMPLE BY, LATEST ON, etc. Window functions that the product has been lacking for some time are next to bridge the gap vs other more mature platforms while offering something very new and unique on the performance side, especially ingestion related.
