every smartphone can report your exact location anyway, for me 5g is a much bigger privacy concern than wifi could ever be.

Smartphone cannot report your location inside the room with 10cm precision. Or so we thought not long ago.

This year technology around 5g allows indoor tracking with <1m precision. A lot of work is ongoing to adopt this massively, as the demand is colossal.
