Exactly. You can't have a nutrition rating system for humans and not rate the skeletal muscle of cattle above pretty much everything else. Doesn't matter what one thinks about the meat industry, carbon production, and so forth; from a nutrition standpoint, beef has all the nutrition a human needs, humans are well adapted to consuming it, and hypotheses around cancer and heart disease never panned out. And wow, what a bunch of poppycock that nutriscore that system is. I'd heard of it but never looked into it. It considers "high" saturated fat, or "high" salt, or "high" energy density as negatives. |
