Adjusting the release-price for inflation seems like a pretty straightforward way to define affordability. What it doesn't account for though is the quality and price of alternatives. In 2007 there was no "budget smart phone" that could basically do the same things. Today there are tons of options that are much cheaper that can do (essentially) the same things, just not as well. |
