Very informative overall, but: jiffy (I heard the inventor of the word it’s pronounced giffy BTW). From Wikipedia: "First attested in 1780" If you said in a giffy I (and my parents) would wonder what kind of a container a giffy was. If you said Giffy (Jiffy) Lube I might know you were refering to a place to get your oil changed from context. If you said you were going to make a GIF sandwich (Jif peanut butter) I would be very confused because what does an image format have to do with a sandwich?
