It sounds to me like California is falling apart, not the USA—your experience doesn't match mine at all. Where I'm at, decreased crime rates are very obvious. Our restrooms are all open, our grocery stores barely have any staff monitoring the self checkouts, and we barely think about locking our doors. People are as friendly as ever. |
